How Did I End Up With This Email?
When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives you the option to hide your real email address. If you chose Hide My Email, Apple created a private relay address for you, something like [email protected]. This is the address linked to your Linearity account.
You may not have noticed this at the time, as Apple selects it by default in some cases.
How It Works
The relay address forwards messages to your real Apple ID inbox. So emails from Linearity, including invoices and login links, will still arrive in your regular inbox, just via Apple's relay.
Managing Your Subscription
If your subscription was purchased through the App Store, your billing is handled by Apple and is not affected by your email address.
If you have a Stripe (web) subscription and need to access the Linearity Billing Portal, use your relay address to request the login link, the one-time link will arrive in your real Apple ID inbox.
Changing Your Email
If you'd like to replace the relay address with your real email, you can do this through auth.linearity.io. Note that changing your email will disconnect your Sign in with Apple from your account, so make sure you set a password first so you don't lose access.
For full steps, see Change Your Account Email.
